Carl's longest running team rider has been a part of Schaper Hawaii since 1994.

Together they have designed and created a line of extremely high performance longboards that have culminated in two World Longboard Titles, 4x runner up and no less than a top 5 ranking for the last 16 years of Bonga's surfing career. He is also sponsored by Honolua, Destination, Steinlager and Freaky Tiki.

His career highlights and accomplishments are extensive and can probably be best summed up as being one of the best all around surfers and waterman there is.

One of Bonga's greatest strengths out of the water, is his knowledge of board design. He knows what he wants and Carl and Bonga have their own language when it comes to shaping him a sick board.
